One of the trickiest parts about being a parent to a person with disabilities is coaching your child toward healthy habits. Many parents ask, "How do I encourage my child to try new foods without creating a food war?" and parent groups and health care providers ask, "Where can I find information about healthy habits that I don't need to completely rewrite?"
If these are concerns you have, Coaching Clips is for you. Written for both parents and professionals who work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Coaching Clips shares practical tips and tools for coaching people of all ages and stages to make healthful choices.
Coaching Clips is a quarterly publication focusing on tips for living healthfully for people with and without intellectual disabilities. Learning how to live healthfully is a process for everyone. Coaching Clips provides tools, tips, and suggestions to help everyone choose to live healthful lives.
As a health care professional and panent, I believe the way to create healthy communities for everyone - including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities - is to educate and support everyone in that community. That includes people with disabilities, parents, health care professionals, direct support workers, and the family next door.
For this reason, each topic in Coaching Clips is written to include ways to use the information and tools in many settings and for many different types of learners and is reviewed by multiple parents and professionals prior to publication.
What is the difference between the Individual subscription and the Professional subscription?
The difference is how you are allowed to use it. The individual subscription, allows you to use it for you or your family member only. The Professional Subscription allows you to print copies for people in the class you teach, clients you are working with individually (not for systems), or for training staff you directly supervise.
Each subscription allows for three downloads of the files (sometimes they get lost) with a download link that is active for 120 days.
